PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The result of over four years of research and engineering, the 24/7 PRO offers a combination of features and enhancements unparalleled in modern handguns. The exclusive Taurus Single Action/Double Action trigger system delivers a level of speed and reliability no other handgun can match. Accuracy prevails thanks to a hand-mated frame, slide and barrel, all with matching serial numbers to assure a flawless fit, finish and functionality previously unheard of from an "out of the box" firearm. The 24/7 PRO also leads the industry in ergonomics, featuring Taurus' exclusive Ribber Grip which provides a comfortable, customized feel for every user and every hand size (not available on .45 ACP). In addition, the 24/7 PRO has already set numerous world records in speed shooting competitions, winning high praise from top military, law enforcement and security professionals from around the world. Available in 9mm, .40 caliber and .45 ACP and three distinct barrel lengths, the 24/7 PRO is the duty-use sidearm of the future - and the next pistol that should be at your side.
The reason Im thinking about this gun is because its cheap (under 500.00) and has the Taurus backed lifetime warranty. It also has 12+1 of .45 hard hitting power

Last year I traded a set of golf clubs (brand new cost about $1K) for a Taurus .40 Milennium Pro. At first I was a little concerned about the size of the thing (very compact) and for awhile there I thought I had made a bad deal.

Then I took it to the range.

Man, I love my Taurus so much i can't even put it into words. Shoots well, is incredibly light, recoil is not bad and it looks cool. It's my favorite pistol now and I was just thinking about taking an advance marksman course with it.

Now, I think my trade (overpriced fancy golf clubs for Taurus) was the best deal I made in 2007!

In fact, I might even sell my stainless steel colt combat commander (.45) and buy a second Taurus!

Kind of a short barrel isn't it? But then, depends on what you want it for!! I definitely like the 45 ACP part.

Its going to be a ccw gun, so the short barrel will do me good.

My Millineum Pro 45 is DAO, and aside from that, I have no issues with it. The barrell floats a little more freely than does the glocks, but it does not seem to effect performance.

Good gun for the money.

Im going to assume that it is DAO. How do you like the Millineum pro? The place im going to get my next pistol from has one of those as well.

My wife decided that her Glock 9 was just not effective. Plus we decided to go with just one pistol caliber to make reloading simpler.

So we went shopping at the fun show a couple of months ago and bought a Taurus Millennium PT 145 Pro. Cost $325.00 w/extra mag.

I have a lightweight Kimber $1k, and love it. But let me tell you this Taurus shoots real well for 300+ buckos.

We took it to the range and these are my comments.

Sights are fair. But as most gunfights are within 20 feet, point and shoot is what we practice.

Recoil for the 3" short barrel is not bad at all. Better than the Glock as the grip is higher, and so closer to the barrel centerline.

Only problem so far is with my reloads using SWC's. It is fussy, I have changed the OAL a little to see if that helps, but haven't tested them yet.

Liked it enough to go back and buy two more.
